A late 19th-century corner console in patinated zinc, formed as a winged putto supporting a triangular shelf above scrolling acanthus ornament. The sculptural body functions as both figure and bracket, merging architecture and allegory in a distinctly historicist vocabulary. The materiality, zinc rather than bronze, situates the piece within the industrial-casting culture of the period, in which architectural ornament became accessible through new manufacturing techniques.
