Designed circa 1916 by Johann Lötz Witwe for Klostermühle, one of the most iconic glass producers of the early 20th century, this lidded container reflects the refined sensibility of the Vienna Secession. The clear glass, underlaid in luminous May-green, is formed in a gently corrugated profile that tapers toward the rim. Scattered black enamel flowers animate both body and lid, finished with a contrasting black finial.

Impeccably preserved, the piece balances ornament and structure with disciplined elegance, embodying the material sophistication that defined Secessionist design reform.
