Similar to a “fourth wall”, a membrane between audiences and characters, the piece fuses movements and gestures of digital and physical bodies across both computer screens and tangible spaces. Through waterjet cutting, fusing, polishing, and silvering the glass, the intricate, web-like patterns combine structure and abstraction, juxtaposing new media techniques with glass. While the combination of hands-on craftsmanship with digital yet organic form language creates tension, the piece offers a perspective on the intersection of traditional techniques and digital cultures.
