A circular plaster relief produced by the Thorvaldsen Museum, depicting the winged allegorical figure "Night" in silent flight, carrying her sleeping children. The composition embodies a restrained Neoclassical sensibility with softness and a quiet poise between movement and stillness. Within the context of Raiments and Innenkreis, the plaque operates as a historical counterpoint: a meditation on drapery, surface, and the poetic charge of relief. Just as Lærke Ryom dresses furniture in textile “garments,” Thorvaldsen’s sculpted folds clothe the body in stone. A continuity between classical allegory and contemporary collectible design.
