Lærke Ryom is a Copenhagen-based designer, grounded in exceptional craftsmanship and a deep Scandinavian understanding of comfort and function. Her practice begins from the proposition that furniture is dressed. Where upholstery proceeds by tension, stretching and stapling textile into rigid form, Ryom works as a tailor, cutting coverings that sit on the structure and keeping the material's drape, folds, and weight visible. The frame offers support while relinquishing control, and the textile arrives with an agency of its own, settling into and reshaping what it covers.
