The series began in a forest near an oak tree nearly two thousand years old, where Et Arrangement became interested in the pathways a beetle carves beneath the bark, a quiet architecture, mostly unseen. They photographed the traces of the beetle, transferred its routes to a computer, then CNC-milled the pattern into wood and cast it in tin. Small mirror areas sit inside each wide frame as the vanitas element. The viewer is reflected for a moment, framed by the scar the beetle leaves in living wood.
Et Arrangement is formed by the architects Laura Storbjerg and Lærke Dorthea Harder.
